We started Peaberry Coffee Roasters with one belief — that India grows some of the world's finest coffee, and it deserves to be celebrated.
The Beginning
How It All Began
It started with a road trip to Chikmagalur in 2018. Our founder, Vikram Nair, had always been a coffee drinker — but standing in the middle of a coffee estate at 1,400 metres, watching the morning mist roll over rows of Arabica trees, something shifted. He tasted a freshly processed natural from a small family estate and couldn't believe what Indian coffee was capable of.
Back in Jaipur, he couldn't find anything close to what he'd tasted on that hillside. The specialty coffee scene in India was growing, but most roasters were importing beans from Ethiopia or Colombia. The incredible coffees from Chikmagalur, Coorg, Araku, and the Nilgiris were being exported or ignored.
In 2020, Peaberry Coffee Roasters was born — with a 5kg drum roaster, a small rented space in Jaipur, and a mission to bring India's finest coffees to Indian coffee lovers.

Our Process
From Farm to Cup
Every step matters. Here's how we ensure the coffee in your cup is the best it can be.
Sourcing
We visit estates personally, cup extensively, and select only specialty-grade lots scoring 80+ on the SCA scale. We work with 12 estates across 7 growing regions.
Green Grading
Every lot is hand-sorted and graded before roasting. We remove defects, check moisture content, and assess density to calibrate our roast profiles.
Roasting
We roast on a 15kg Probat drum roaster, developing each profile over 8–12 minutes. Every roast is logged and cupped before release.
Quality Control
Every batch is cupped by our team before it ships. If it doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't leave the roastery.
Packaging & Dispatch
Packed in nitrogen-flushed, one-way valve bags to preserve freshness. Roast date printed on every bag. Shipped within 24 hours of roasting.
